With spring just around the corner I thought I would pay homage to the best thing about winter: sunny citrus fruit!  Here are some ways, from this site and others, to use all of the glorious citrus fruit that won't be available much longer.   1. Love this citrus party, as well as your Lemon Meringue Pie post on Food52!! I have a half-crate of grapefruit to use up, so this inspiration comes just in time. One of my go-to recipes are Shaker Citrus Pie/Tarts: http://www.nothinginthehouse.com/2012/12/shaker-orange-tarts.html and I've also been loving variations on this Grapefruit Chess Pie adapted from the Lee Bros: http://www.nothinginthehouse.com/2013/04/grapefruit-chess-pie.html I tried it with blood oranges and it turned out well--might also try tangerine!
